I have an idea for a version of random encounters

By Posted on 17 No tags 0
A friend of mine and me will sometimes shoot a roll of film on a given topic and then send it to the other one to take double exposures. The topic can range from let´s say I do scenic views – You do details. But never be more specific so we both get to be surprised over the outcome.

I´d be happy to shoot a roll and mail it to someone in this group if this idea sounds fun. Or vice versa.

This specific image is used on my business cards and it always make people look twice.

Fab idea for those who shoot film. I'd love to see more…

Did you see this +Benjamin Kappel Schmidt ? We discussed this concept some weeks/months ago with a few people +Goran Arvidson – I did it about 3 yrs ago, twice, with a photographer from Bavaria. Awesome idea and fun odd results! Let me know how you progress.
Maybe +James Forestier and +J.L. Btwee might be interested too, the debate went on for a while.

That's awesome Goran. I love double exposures and read an article about people swapping rolls of film a few months ago. I love the idea and would basically be interested to give it a try.

For the record, I am also interested if you want to do it on medium format :)

Great idea for 36 random encounters :-D
I'm game, +Crina Prida but have found myself increasingly busy these days, to the point where I hardly check in here :-

+Crina Prida How about this: you start off with a 35mm roll and I promise I'll finish it :-)

Sounds like fun +Crina Prida As a matter of fact I took a couple of double exposures with my Yashica-A TLR today.  And if they turn out OK I'll say it was done on purpose ;)

The point would be to trust another guy/gal with the second exposure of the film and I totally hope that all of you (and me) who commented here, will find time to exchange films! I am definitely in +J.L. Btwee +Benjamin Kappel Schmidt +James Forestier +Viola Teske and Goran of course

+Crina Prida I have a bit of a problem atm with my Hasselblad. When that´s sorted out I´d be happy to work with you. Give me 2 weeks and I´ll be ready :)

+Viola Teske Send me a roll or I´ll send you one. It would be fun! :)

Woohoo. Looks like I better start shooting more film again. Was looking at all the 120 film rolls lying here around yesterday as I'm currently playing more with 35 mm. I'll let you know when I got something.
