Danish Architecture Pt. 2

Horten, Tuborg Havn. While recently in Copenhagen we were guided by this book (Ny Arkitektur i Hovedstaden Copenhagen X 2009, 2010) on new Danish Architecture. We didn´t cover all the buildings. But plenty. Here´s a start.

Prominent guests today.

Went to Sandhamn for the day on saturday. It´s a beautiful island in the outer archipelago. Almost like a giant dune, but only almost because there are lots of cliffs too. Sandhman harbours some spectacular views over the ocean and surrounding islands. Breathtaking.
I came home with lots of images and the only one I really felt stood out was the one above. It´s a dreamy forest. A forest to get lost in with perfect vision. A mythic place.

It´s all about the eyes, baby!

I hanged out with Saab Turbo Club of Sweden at Lunda Flygfält for a day. It was my first try at shooting cars speeding on a track. Difficult but fun. It was freezing despite the sun and it being spring. The cab is driven by Speedy Linda and her boyfriend. Linda is the driver in this picture. STCS was a real nice group of people. I had a good day! Since getting the full frame camera I find my smaller cameras to be crap. There are a times when I don´t feel like or really can´t bring the 5D and still end up wanting to take pictures. What to do? That´s when I started to play around more with the iPhone camera. Sure it´s crappy and all that but it is also lots of fun! With added apps something happens with the images. The bad focus, distortion and screwy colors becomes fun. Add the fact that with, for example, Hipstamatic you don´t really know what the outcome will be. I like that relaxed playing around approach to photography. As a complement to the more “real” approach to photography that my Canon calls for. Other fun apps are CameraKit, Format 126 and RetroCamera. Only down set is that they always looks better on the iPhones screen than elsewhere :)
