Cars

I hanged out with Saab Turbo Club of Sweden at Lunda Flygfält for a day. It was my first try at shooting cars speeding on a track. Difficult but fun. It was freezing despite the sun and it being spring. The cab is driven by Speedy Linda and her boyfriend. Linda is the driver in this picture. STCS was a real nice group of people. I had a good day! Confession

Since getting the full frame camera I find my smaller cameras to be crap. There are a times when I don´t feel like or really can´t bring the 5D and still end up wanting to take pictures. What to do? That´s when I started to play around more with the iPhone camera. Sure it´s crappy and all that but it is also lots of fun! With added apps something happens with the images. The bad focus, distortion and screwy colors becomes fun. Add the fact that with, for example, Hipstamatic you don´t really know what the outcome will be. I like that relaxed playing around approach to photography. As a complement to the more “real” approach to photography that my Canon calls for. Other fun apps are CameraKit, Format 126 and RetroCamera. Only down set is that they always looks better on the iPhones screen than elsewhere :)
Baptized

Photographed a baptism on saturday. The priest was a fantastic, charismatic person. Sh brought all the kids up to help pouring the holy water into the baptismal font. She really made the event into something extra. The light in the church wasn´t the best and when I went there to check the church out a week ago a woman there told me I was not allowed to use a flash inside. Of course I was the only one not using a flash that day. On the other hand, I kind of like the light the way it came out.
It was a good day.

trees

A few days I wrote about the insecurities with creativity and how vulnerable it can be. I wanted to see if I could get a dialogue going. Thank you all for your wise, kind and thoughtful comments. They are much appreciated!
Another person who is great is my mother. I was there on sunday for dinner and it turns out she has saved every magazine (almost) that has my images published last year. She gave them all to me and carrying that pile home made me happy!
